No worries, you gonna get it fix under 6 months, easily!
OMG makes the little whirring noise but does not expose, however if you turn it upside down and fire again it will re-cock and you can take a shot. Not optimal. But to be fair I've been shooting hundreds of frames a day on average and had the camera in many conditions. I know I have way over 100k on the shutter. Every Sony I've owned had to be serviced in the first year, until, knock on wood, my A7, which has had only light use since I got the M9 in Jan 14. I'm very relieved to have done the mod in time for use as backup with the lenses I like best
I spent an hour last night just turning things off in the menus so I didn't accidentally change something My first weeks with the M9 were pretty rough, except I loved the results, but now I'm hooked on it's brute simplicity and huge bright no-pixel VF
6 months it might be if I needed a sensor, but mine was new when I bought the camera a year ago, replaced by Leica, and it's still clean. I bet I have it back within 6 weeks.
nothing exciting about this shot but just picked up an A7R and testing out a few manual focus lens I have... really liking the CY 35-70/3.4 on it, need to test more with it outdoors.
The one on the far left, of course, can't be used in the A7. The one of the far right just arrived yesterday and is waiting for an adapter to arrive. Either way, I'm excited. For a purely aesthetic point of view, I think Olympus with the OM line made some of the best looking lenses.
