Thank you Philippe, Greg and Picture This, and for all the likes
Greg, the 75 Cron AA is a forgotten lens, in that it is overshadowed by the 75 Lux or the Summarit. It is a great performing lens, and I know it has a reputation of lacking character. Personally, I really like it as small, light and combined with the VM-E it is a great walk around lens. It is sharp and detailed, but it is still a modern Leica so combined with the A7s/A7II it works well
I also got to play around with an a7s and the Atomos Shogun. The guy who owned it is making a documentary film about wildlife throughout Florida. He said that he is impressed so far, but the battery life is poor. The large screen made it a breeze to shoot video.

This technique works pretty well on my 2 year old as well. However, I find the face detection will sometimes fall down if she's wearing a hat or scarf. Otherwise it's pretty solid. I think I'd still prefer to move the focus point around manually, but it's just too cumbersome to do so on Sony cameras.
yep. the best Face Detection in mirrorless is by far on Olympus/Panasonic, that's pretty much insane. Sony is 2d after the Olympus/Panasonic. Fuji is the last.
So, does IBIS work on the A7II? It sure does for me. While the images below were taken on fairly short FL lenses, I have rarely if ever been successful shooting at less than 1/30s. The images below are a good sign. First, the outdoor shots were taken while walking my dog and the temperature at -5F. The last at 1/15s on a Canon FD 24/2.8. While this was a short test for me, it tells me I can shoot in Tv mode rather consistently at 1/20s and get reasonably sharp images. ISO is also lowered resulting in images that don't default to 1/60s and ISO6400 WO.
even though I am pretty sure Ronny and Greggf could make great images with cereal boxes
joanlvh...Not sure if I should thank you or laugh? So...I'm laughing while thanking you!!
Several imagees today with the ZM 50 Planar...this lens rocks for landscapes!
Gregg
this was at f2.8...and has to be some of the most-ish 3D pop I've seen in a lens! Whoa
