Do you have any samples with the Leica S and Hasselblad 100/2.2 to post?
Hi carsten, here is one with my S2 + 100/2.2 WO. Sending you PM with links to other images (not to spam this forum) that IŽam posting on other forum with MF systems..
Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for the "like". So many wonderful images last couple pages. Love this thread whenever I have a coffee break. I can't keep up with my daily "like" as well.
Monterey Bay in late afternoon with handheld A7R and FE35f2.8 @f10
I just got a Sony A7, and don't know if I should save up for the Sony FE 55mm, or just buy an old manual lens. Which one do you recommend for a wide old lens? What about a fast lens from 28mm to 40mm? F1.8 is fine.
In the AF club, it is pretty much the FE 55, although a fantastic choice. It is also pleasant to use in manual focus mode, not like for a Zeiss or Voigtlander, but OK. Sharpness is way up there.
In the MF camp, in my mind, here are the top choices to consider since you are considering a budget to buy the FE:
Zeiss Loxia with EXIF data and instant zoom in to help focusing - but costly. Early results are as good as expected. [$950US new]
Zeiss Planar in either Nikon or Contax/Yashica variety. Very solid choices [±$400-500US used]
Zeiss Planar in Contax N variety. But watch out for the cost of the adapter; as far as I know, only the Kipon adapter works at a cost of between $240-275US. I got the surprise myself for a Contax N 24-85mm... [±$425-500US]
Zeiss Planar in ZM variety, i.e. Leica mount. A tad smaller and lighter but more expensive because of the Leica mount. [$650US+]
Voigtlander 50mm f/1.5 (Leica mount); but do your homework as some people love it, others not so much.[±$500-600US]

Charles: Great pictures of these exotic berries/cherries (?). The 75 Lux's bokeh is beautiful. Did you shoot that one handheld? I found it impossible to focus the Lux (close to) wide open.
Thanks Chris With the A7II I can hand hold the 75 Lux even close up. The IBIS does help immensely. This shot was shot at f/1.4, but should have been f/2.8 or 4. These are berries bit like cherries with tart bite very common in Brazil.
Superb images everyone!!! I am amazed how the A7's systems and images are evolving!
Jordan, wow... awesome shots! Love the compositions.
I apologize for more pics of my son...but I really wanted some up close portraits with the Zeiss ZM 50 Sonnar...I think this lens excels for this type of portrait?
