I am struggling in finding a good solution to update my EXIF data, especially to be able to tag my pictures for the lens used, when I am not using a Sony FE or A-mount lens.
I am currently using LensTagger, which is a front-end to ExifTool. Works nicely once you get the hang of it, but on my high-end Windows machine, it is so incredibly and painfully slow (minutes
to update just a few pictures)!! To the point where I'd rather not use it. From my research, it appears that it might be a Windows specific issue, not present on a Mac.
Anybody out there with either solution to LensTagger under Windows, or an alternative solution?

I think it would be better to ask that question in the Sony forum in a separate thread rather than posting it here in the "image thread". It would be buried before too long, I am afraid.
Earlier, I inadvertently posted a couple of shots of a Costas hummingbird taken with a non Sony camera. With apologies, I submit these that were taken with the right camera.
I was able to catch this Costas in a little bit of light for these shots.
Thank you Joshua, Picture This and Ronny Also thank you for all the likes !!
Amazing images in this thread as it continues to accelerate! New cameras and techniques is really opening new areas in photography.
Joshua, I am also just about to buy the A7II, but I have been just holding back for awhile to wait for the dust to settle Great shots BTW
Shots in Melbourne city yesterday morning.
A7r and WATE
I'm late to the party since I just purchased my A7R from a fellow FM'er this week. Today was my first time out with it, just walking around Nashville seeing what I could find. I'm amazed at the sharpness with the 35mm Sony/Zeiss lens. I need to test side by side, but I don't think my 5DIII can pull off this sharpness.
Below shot is handheld f/5.6, 1/160, ISO400. Processed in Lightroom at default sharpness with some added contrast. Used Adobe's rendition of Camera Landscape since I haven't yet loaded Sony's raw converter, which I hear is better. Noise reduction at 15. In Photoshop, smart-sharpened the reduced shot at 70% and 0.2px. The 100% crop is sharpened at 70% and 0.5px.
I shot quite a few images, including many handheld around 1/30 to 1/60 and didn't experience the shutter shock I've been reading about, unless my eyesight's not good enough to notice. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase so far. Can't wait to try out on some landscapes.
More excellent images on these last pages!! Haven't posted much lately since I've been very busy delivering the Christmas Rush for everyone...but Christmas is over
A few from today on our walk to go see the Steam engine at Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton.

Thaks Bob!
Very versatile 50....lots of character, too. I'm curious to see how much the Planar and the Sonnar compare side by side. It'll be here next week.
Here are a couple treescapes and a portrait of my father in law

This thread moves so fast it is impossible to adress all the pics that deserve it, but deserve it many of you do, and richly! Starting with all the "usual suspects", like Bob, Greg, Joshua, Charles, Ronny, and apologies to others.
