That's not truly representing the sharpness of the crop either. Still can't get my head around how flickr does or doesn't decide to sharpen or in this case its softened the image!

Will get some shots up later from the A7R and Nikon 85mm f1.4. It's so damn sharp it's like you've used a macro lens from 3 yards away! Unbelievably sharp with ridiculous detail. Too much in fact.
Shot this evening A7r and FE 55/1.8. I had issues trying to nail infinity on the FE 55/1.8 with MF. I wanted to be sure that I had infinity as the lighting was low, and didn't want to rely solely on AF. I focused manually, but the distance scale did not correspond to infinity on the distance scale. So I am puzzled what is the best technique to focus at infinity with the focusing by wire.
Today I went out with the Zeiss ZE 35 f/1.4 Distagon and the Zeiss ZE 85 f/1.4 Planar. I did a panorama with the 85 Planar and also a focus stacking image, using focus peaking (b&w image and red color) at 5.6 for focus stacking turned out to be great way to work that was quick and delivered a very good result. I'm only including the panorama because the subject was the same but the panorama was the better image. Maybe next time I'll do both.
Top image Nikon 85mm f1.4, bottom Sony 55mm f1.8. Astonishing lenses on this camera. Images not showing as sharp as the originals. Can't figure out Flickr with regards to the sharpening or softening it applies to my images. Frustrating!
Just a couple of grab shots with the FE 35 2.8 today wandering around. Both using autofocus which is generally pretty accurate. The church shot is cropped somewhat.
