First few shots with just acquired Konica Hexanon AR EE 135/2.5 and Sony A7 at The Christmas Fair.I got only 30 minutes to go,so not too much for choosing subject and refinig framing in a crowded place. The Hexanon AR 135/2.5 is a very good lens. Not as sharp at f2.5 as the 135/3.2,(my favourite 135mm Konica short telephoto),but a stop faster, with limited amount of CA wo.Sharp, contrasty, vivid colour rendition.Heavy weighted metal construction and built-in hood.MFD:1,2.
Incredible images this page!! Thanks to Ronny, I had to rent a ZM Sonnar 50 1.5 and try it out. So far I like it,but today was the first day.
These two houses are on my route in Seascape. The first is a 4500sq monster with an interesting floor plan! The second house belongs to the ex-wife of the owner of Nordic Naturals, who, coincidentally, lives on my route, too!
This house is 5000sq ft!!

Thank you! Yes they are also opening up another section of the station in a couple of months. Will have some interesting architecture to it as well. Lovely images of Notre Dame!
So I've bought two 'new-to-me' lenses for my 5 week trip to Europe/Middle East starting next month. First a Nikon 70-210 f4-5.6 (because I needed a touch more reach and wanted a light lens as I will already have a 3kg 300 with me). It's really sharp and light (590g). Cost US$120 in 'As New' condition.
The other on it's way is a Tamron (151B) SP 17mm f3.5 (exc. condition and $325 including original hood and caps) I wanted the similar Tokina SMC (US$180) but it had just gone, and the Tamron is supposed to edge it anyway - excuse the pun - at the edges and corners (I just liked the Tokina build better). This is another light lens (290g) and will hopefully be good for the interiors / exteriors of mosques & markets in Abu Dhabi and Istanbul and churches in Valencia and Florence !
Very nice set again triton3k!
Slingers, what a sweet and heartwarming capture.
Two more from yesterday's walk in the woods with C/Y 28mm/2.8. Its flare resistance is quite impressive and if it weren't for A7's sensor reflections it'd be ideal for me. If they have fixed this issue in A7II I'm definitely upgrading.
p.s. why is there a turkey in the background of the main site crazy Americans
The turkey originates from North America and Americans like eating them at around this time of the year, something to do with a National Holiday they celebrate called Thanksgiving I think.
I have that lens, Philip. I don't use it much these days due to the excellent 55/1,8
I'm trying to figure out what lenses to take to Boulder, Colorado in two weeks. Also considering purchasing the 16-35... instead of the 70-200. Thoughts?
