Nice sries, Dale! Has that been a filmset or a real small town? I see Clint walking around.......
Thanks! It is not a filmset. It is a remote but real town, now a state park. There were 10,0000 people living here at one time. It would be easy to spend a lot of time there. I noticed while looking at images of Bodie on the internet, that very few of them were taken with an UWA lens so I thought I could get a less common perspective. The harsh light of the higher elevations also makes everything look "sharpened" even to the natural eye. Interesting place. I would love to get access to the park before and after regular hours.Perhaps a good place for an FM field trip.
Here is an image from my last trip to Death Valley. It's different from what we are accustomed to.
Taken with the Sony A7R and Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L. It was tilted and shifted in order to keep distortion down and increase background resolution as a big print.
Impressive pictures over the last couple of pages again. Looking at those impressive displays of what can be done with the a7 cameras, always make me wonder whether I'm doing something wrong.
Anyways, two pictures from a small mountain lake in Nagano prefecture in central Japan.
