Incredible series, Douglas. That first one.....Wow!

Thank you very much, Al! I think lugging the heavy 100-400 up and down the trails to get the first shot was worth it. Love the Colorado series you posted. I may do the Colorado/Utah fall trip next year when we visit our daughter in Denver.

Great shots Douglas! I was there yesterday too!
And I was at Blackwater on Saturday. I'm beat.
Thank you Tim! I am sorry I didn't see you on the trail. My buddy and I arrived at 9:30, we hiked down from the Ganoga Glen side and hiked back up from the Glen Leigh side, took us about 6.5 hours. My legs are still hurting from the hike.
I may take a day trip to Blackwater and another day trip to Shenandoah next week. Hope it's not too late.
More from Columbus Day's trip.

I got to Adams Falls around 8:45, shot that and then went up to the Lake Rose lot. I went across Highland Trail and hit Glen Leigh first, so i was going the opposite direction. Oh well, would have been fun to run into you.
Glad you got some good shots, if memory serves, this is a bit of a haul for you.

It's a 3.5 hour drive, one way. 7 hours of driving in one day isn't bad at all. I drove 14 hours in one day to Florida for an airshow just for one day, then drove 14 hours back home. I should get a Telsa with the auto drive feature when I get a new car.
