Just back from my first trip to Patagonia. Awestruck by the beauty, mystique, and the culture. Crazy trees everywhere but It's sad they were due to fires there 20-30 years ago. Here's one from the campground of TDP and one from the waterfall/lookout hike we did and my very first astro attempt. 🫢

Awesome images, James! Patagonia is on my bucket list...
. I am too obese to run a marathon. I truly admire anyone who runs. My daughter and her friend ran. My wife and I took a trip to Oregon to cheer for them. This was her 3rd full marathon.

That first astro attempt is out of this world! Amazing
Thank you Joshua, it's a special place for sure. Cross your fingers for good weather, we spent 4/5 days in the Argentinian side and only saw Fitz Roy on the evening and morning of the last day.

Thank you Robert! It was our first visit to Oregon. We spent some time checking out the coast and numerus waterfalls.
For this trip I had the Sony PZ 16-35 f4 on an A1II, the Tamron 50-400 on another A1II, I also had the VC 15 and the Canon R5 infrared camera. In hindsight, maybe the CV 15, Sony 20-70 f4 and the Sony 70-200 f4 GII would have been easier to lug around. The Tamron 50-400 is still too big and heavy to lug around at airports and trails. Also I am not a fan of lens without an AF/MF switch.
