Just two to mention other than the 'Likes' given.
Robbie - simply superb 'Salintara' set, just awesome.
Philip - well that trip around the UK certainly widened your subject matter and you've come up with a wonderful set.
Quickie Q. Anybody tried the Samyang 8mm / 10mm or 12mm (although I know not FF lenses) on an A7 or an A7r ? The 12mm f2.0 in particular is supposedly superb to the edges and very sharp in the centre, whilst being incredibly light (ca. 365g I think). As well as being great value for money.
Are you using the Kipon adapter for the Contaxt 24-85?
I was planning on just getting a cheap non-smart adapter but I read somewhere that the manual aperture control ring on the Contax doesn't do anything? Is that true? It seems a bit odd if it is.
This weekend we went on a day trip to Røros, an old copper mine town about two hours drive from Trondheim. The whole town is on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is a lovely place to walk around in with a camera (but avoid mid-summer when it's crowded with tourists). Lots of timber houses from the 17th and 18th century and remains from the mining activities.
This wasn't a photo trip though, but here are some shots taken with A7 and C/Y 28mm/2.8:
I went for a random drive on Sunday night near sunset. Lots of nothing interesting but I finally ended up in the Snohomish River valley between Snohomish and Everett. Very pretty area. I didn't get many good photos - there was a really great fog hugging the lowlands, red sunset glow on the mountains - as the only real spot I found to turn off and take some had these power lines all over. So I just made do with that.
