Love this shot, reminds me of the Hesper and Luther LIttle at Wiscasset Maine while I was growing up...alas they were wooden ships, so now they are completely gone.
Not a lot of great autumn color around my neck of the woods, at least that I could find. Such a dry autumn, kind of go crazy with any decent color I find. Decided to not be conservative with the colors on these shots.
My wife and I hiked up to wait for the sunset at the Delicate Arch in Arches NP a week ago. It wasn't an easy hike with several cameras and lenses, tripod. Glad I left the 100-400 GM in the car. By the time we got back to the parking lot, it was completely dark. The sunset light was gorgeous but it was another cloudless sunset.
A few shots of the arch with different lenses and different perspective. I think that was the only time I used the 15mm in Arch NP.

From Arches NP. I am 100% sure I took some shots of the Balance Rock with my A1II and 100-400 GM but I couldn't find the folder for that day in the card, very strange..

The late afternoon light on the trees was completely gone few minutes after this shot.

These are beautiful, Douglas! I especially love that first shot, draws me right in. I’m glad you got to go.
