Did you use any lens corrections for CV15/4.5?
Yes, I used the Adobe Flat-Field plugin. I also cropped this picture to square, so the extreme edges got cut off. It wasn't too bad before, I cropped it mostly for artistic reasons. But, I also haven't quite got a profile picture that works perfectly with the FF plugin; the corners usually end up a bit blotchy with some parts purple-ish and some green-ish.
Founded in 1908, the city of West Yellowstone Montana grew around the Oregon Short Line Railroad Station. One of the town’s most predominant features remains the steam locomotive water tower. Like many wooden structures of the Western United States, this tower is well populated with Black Widow Spiders. This 5’ long weathered oak plank, had a spider every two or three inches along its length.
I don't like using my A7 for street photography. The very loud shutter makes you really stand out. The A7S is so much nicer for it. The silent shutter is a wonderful feature.
jgaster, I am "OUT" on spiders! No thanks! Absolutely incredible stuff on this page, and I will be honest, on all the pages. Hopefully this doesn't get pushed down too fast, but I can't believe how great working with the A7 has been for me. I have been shooting a long time, started with film 17 years ago. My favorite image maker, up to now, has always been the Canon 5D, with a 35mm 1.4L. That combination was magic, pure and simple. I was getting images I only thought you could obtain with medium or large format. I really feel like I am finally back in that same place, with the A7 and Zeiss 55mm 1.8. Pure magic. For my clients, and my personal work.
The sony a7s continues to impress me. I have been to a variety of gigs recently where it has blown me away with what it can do plus the way it delivers results. The images are really very lovely, almost 3D on some.
This was at the Melbourne Town Hall, quite a sizeable space and I was in the last row of the balcony.
Recently I got a Oly Zukio 100mm f2, beautiful piece of glass and totally brilliant on the A7s/r
All OOC JPGs. These photos were taken hand held the first is at f2, 1/125, iso 1600.
The second at iso 2000
The third is at iso 40,000 at 1/80 and at f5.6
No noise reduction, sharpening etc applied. Auto WB and straight from the camera.

More test A7 + Nikon 16mm f3.5 Ai fisheye
so it seems it perform better on the D700 than Sony A7 due sensor reflection on A7
but it seems like it perform much better on A7R according to John who has this combo
problems come with bright light sources as the sun.. if you are shooting straight into it and you want a nice sun star
then you get some nasty sensor reflection
