On the hunt for stellar sea eagles in the sea of Okhotsk off Hokkaido and they didn't disappoint... And, I could get away using just my bare 300mm lens!
I stumbled into some bulls while hiking in the desert early in the morning. I was careful and photographed them for about 45 minutes and then turned to head back down the trail. I looked up and saw this bull standing on the trail behind some bushes looking like he was waiting for me. That's the first picture. I gave him a WIDE berth and took the second image from about 50-60 yards.

Thank you, Ed! I took more eagle images and complete sequences of eagle catching fish in a few hours than 3 days at Conowingo and yes, using only the bare 300mm lens than the 600mm lens plus TC.
Awesome images of the curly “haired” pelican there!
Exploring an ice cave that forms behind a frozen waterfall is pretty surreal. So silent except for the subtle echos of water dripping and pieces of ice periodically breaking off. I liked how my red headlamp lit the ice while the dusk blue hour light provided some nice color contrast. Sony A7CR with Zeiss Loxia 25mm.
