Last year I posted photos from my great-niece Abigail’s Make-A-Wish Disneyworld trip (diagnosed with brain cancer at age 2 1/2). Today I have posted in the People forum a set of new images from this summer and an update - I’d be honored if anyone has a moment to check it out! All shot wide open with the amazing Sony 50/1.2
What a lovely shot of a lovely and brave girl, Ross! I checked out the thread that you posted. She looks like a fighter to me. Any update on her condition, in addition to what you posted there?
Some 3 years back, there were a lot of complaints about the A7r IV showing AF issues with the G 200-600mm lens. I didn't notice any issues with mine but when the new FW came out, I updated the FW on mine. I went to a local wetland area to test the combo out the following day. I posted one of the real-life test images a few pages back in this thread but here are some more.
The 3rd image is a significant crop of the 4th one posted here. It just shows how beneficial and desireable a high-resolution camera is in bird photography. The sun became brighter here.

These are all beautiful and the rendering is gorgeous!
Thank you Ross.Your kind words are much appreciated.Dahlias are so diverse in colours and shapes. And they bloom for so long.I can not stop to photograph them.Their beauty is compelling.

These are gorgeous pics and so is that egret!
Thanks for checking out Abigail’s thread, she did have a small spot of cancer last fall/winter but the surgeons were able to remove it, and so far she is doing really great and has all the energy and imagination expected of a little girl!

Many thanks. I have to say the Sony 100-400 is my favorite lens for these types of shots. The birds are just fun to photograph as well. Glad you enjoyed the images.
