Some 3 years back, there were a lot of complaints about the A7r IV showing AF issues with the G 200-600mm lens. I didn't notice any issues with mine but when the new FW came out, I updated the FW on mine. I went to a local wetland area to test the combo out the following day. I posted one of the real-life test images a few pages back in this thread but here are some more.
The 3rd image is a significant crop of the 4th one posted here. It just shows how beneficial and desireable a high-resolution camera is in bird photography.The sun became brighter here.
