Sony FE55, a7II. At the top of (i) the tightly clustered monastic units and halls of Diskit is (ii) the old section (since destroyed), dating from the 1400s. The range is the Southen Karakoram, ending at the confluence of the Nubra and Shyok Rivers.
CY 100/3.5 (always beautiful 20th century skin tones), a7r. This one also shows some of my shooting technique to get reliable street results from a 100mm MF lens shot with two seconds preparation. Focus ring preset near final focus distance, 1/400s and ISO 400 (a7r has great low ISO DR) so not much to worry about, but no time to work on controls other than focus. Planted front/back foot stance, neckstrap tight wound, crouched to subject height, focus mag L1 for fine focus .. focus right .. and squeeeeze shutter, isolating finger movement from hand grip. 'slow is smooth And smooth is fast'. It's all about habits.
more than 2-3 seconds prep and you lose facial expression 'freshness' = staged pose.
