One more comment. I just saw that you took the photo with the Voigtländer 15 4.5. I bought this exact lens two days ago. Now, of course I would like to say that what makes it special comes from the lens used. But I know it comes from you

Nice image, Ronny! Beautiful bird. The small birds are my favorite.

Also - wonderful image, Joshua!

This was last night at the east side of the Superstition Mountain face. I took my new Voigtlander Nokton 50/1.2 SE out for the first time. It was raining shortly before I took this image but the setting sun came out for a few minutes casting these wonderful shadows on the scene.

That lens is a great performer and I know you will enjoy that as much as I do. I am using LR and when I pulled up that file, I was first a bit disappointed since the corners, especially the lower corners didn’t come out as good as I was hoping and envisioned. Then I select the lens correction option and boy, that did the trick!

Ronny, we missed your wonderful images. Don’t stay away for too long, please. Man, that lens in your hand certainly delivers in gobs.

Thank you for your kind comment, Ronny!

Thank you very much, Eric! Your images from the SW desert are exquisite. Your lens selection is, well, unique. But I noticed that fast lenses that are geared more for portrait that perform well at wide open or close to wide open, perform also really superbly for landscape if stopped down enough. That light in that image is gorgeous.

Well, Barry, long time no see and/or hear, and then, you turned into BO MONO 😎. Didn’t you use a moniker that had “Leica” in it before? Thank you for your kind comment and thank you for the article from the daily mail. Awesome B&W image or images you got there!

Great photo! I hope Sony comes out with a modern 200 f2. If imagine it to be light and get some crazy bokeh like ok your shot.

You are most welcome Joshua and thank you for your kind comment also, much appreciated as always....Love your images and how you can switch from one style to another with ease - Landscape, wildlife, modeling, architecture etc...
Goodness Joshua you do have a good memory....Yes my very original moniker was Leicamera (As I was shooting Leica M cameras + Sum'cron and Sum'lux lenses etc... back in the early days)
A lot of us slowly transitioned over to Sony cameras when the A7 series cameras first started to be released, whilst still keeping our Leica M glass with an adapter (I think Sony only had 2 lenses back then the 55/1.8 and 35/2.8)
As I hadn't been shooting Leica M cameras in quite a while - I later requested Fred if he would change my name (Leicamera) to my actual name - Barry Haines, which he very kindly did
All was working just fine up until Dec 2022 when I last posted...I spent some time in hospital, when I next tried to login a few months later - unfortunately my password had expired
Went through all the motions of trying to log back in which failed...It was suggested to me why not just create a new account....Hence BO MONO was born

BTW...Thanks for the PM....Yes I did try replying last night to you and K-H but it never showed up in the thread.
Sadly I can't reply to PM as I don't have enough posts yet as BO MONO to send PM's....none the less thank you

Thank you Barry, also for the info about the Daymark Tower.
Interesting, it adds to the many images of Cornwall you posted in the past under your old monikers.
Do you still practice your particular style of post-processing?
That also helped your images to always stand out.

I am glad you are enjoying the GIF animations that I occasionally post.
My GIFs, that are image-aligned ,require a lot of processing power and computer memory.
For that I am using a maxed out Apple M2 ULTRA Mac Studio.

It feels good that you are posting again.
I will be looking forward to your images.

With kind regards, Karl-Heinz.
