Ink Spill | Colorado | 2023

I spotted this winding stream near the edge of a frozen lake from my car. I quickly pulled over, grabbed my gear, and setup as the snow started to fall. I'll admit the composition is fairly obvious but it's the flow of "ink" and the cracked banks that called my attention

Just the other day got a A6700 along with the kit 18-135 lens (deserves better than to be called a kit lens) and the venerable 70-350G lens. Both have turned out to be very sharp with good build quality. Here's a few samples of my first outing. one pelican about a quarter mile away cruising, and another far off (like half a mile) with a visitor bird I'm not familiar with hanging out. Then a night shot of a neighbor's home with holiday lights on. The stars in a noise free sky amazed me. Thanks to DXO of course.
