I was sort of positioned precariously on the side of a mountain road where I setup to photograph this Autumn scene. I’m sure drivers were questioning what I was photographing. I paid them no mind. My attention was on waiting for clouds to provide some soft light on the scene. The three aspens in the foreground took the role of gatekeepers, watching over their community in the background.

Another from this week at GSMNP, near the end of the day as the foggy clouds were dispersing. This only lasted a few seconds, wish I could have worked it longer:
