Josh,
great shots - I'm particularly impressed w/ the 70-200 / f4 especially at dusk.
Italy is a mess during August. May/early June or late Sept/Oct are the best months.
We visit annually and it sucks having to do it now around the kids school schedule!

Josh...those are incredible images! Love the first shot looking south! We were there 4 years ago. We stayed just south of the Amalfi coast in Viareggio. My dad's girlfriend grew up there! I wish that I had had my A7 then!!! I carried my 1D4, adapted 14-24G, 24-70, and 70-200ll...for three weeks.
Look forward to more pics!!

Thank you, Gregg! The coast line is gorgeous indeed but it was really too crowded for my taste. Had not been for a wedding in Italy, the timing of which was beyond my control, I would have not traveled in the summer to Europe. Thankfully, I traveled pretty light now
. Two FE lenses, my 55mm f/1.8 and 70-200mm f/4 OS, plus a Nikkor 28mm and a Leica WATE covered my needs just fine. The longest and largest lens, the 70-200mm is the heaviest but still not too bad. Surprisingly, I used that lens quite a bit.

Thanks, I am glad you like the images. Yup, I couldn't agree with you more regarding the crowd but I didn't have much choice in this case. Oh well, we did it already.

Joshua: Lovely shots! I like them all. The WATE shot is excellent with nice sense of space.
Mike: Beautiful Pano! Vertical stitch is nice to not deal with that complex distortion.
Overall, I like a lot of these. It's amazing see how quickly this thread grows with excellent contributions.
Not as nice as most have here, but it's just an afternoon stroll in old town Socorro, a few landmarks we have here.
