A9 w Tamron 28-75 and 20G resp. (I'm selling the A9 because 99,7% of the time I shoot nothing that requires a stacked sensor and blackout free continuous frames. I like it for its responsiveness, Z-type battery and useful silent shutter)
The weather was warm and wet on this trip where prior years at this time it's usually bright and cold. Still, it is nice to be out, and a bonus to not have to take the tick precautions (Have never seen a tick here and I get ticks every summer including this one where I live, further south)

A decade later
Yes, I remember that vividly… Look how far Sony has come since!
I was in Iceland when the pre-order desk for the classic A7r opened. Like a mad man, I pre-ordered that and the Sony 55mm f/1.8 lens. And it arrived in December 2013, I believe. I sold the body after 2 years or so later but I still have and use the lens.
First, a disclosure - I posted the first image in this thread previously but to commemorate the upcoming 10 year. That was pretty much a test shot taken with that new camera and a Zeiss 135mm ZF Apo Sonnar. I had that lens for a while and used it on my Canon back then. If my memory serves correctly, that I had to use 2 adapters, a Nikon to Canon adapter and a Canon to Sony-E adapter. Kind of clumsy but it worked fine. AF? What AF? The Canon to E-mount adapter was available early on.
The second image was taken a few days later at the Walt Disney Concert Hall early in the morning before sunrise. Again, using 2 adapters.
