Dahlia season in Mendocino, CA. Easily my favorite flower because of their colors, complexity, and variety.
I love this lens but do not get a chance to shoot with it often. It is like having Monet bottled in a tiny aluminum tube. Soft wide open but nicely sharp from f/4. A credible landscape lens from f/8. So many aperture blades that backgrounds go to butter, even when stopped down (first image is f/5.6).
