I attended a wedding last weekend for some friends who are elderly and in love. This image of the young boy chosen as the ring bearer (see the rings around his neck) was one of my favorites.
Nice scene, but I think you needed a faster shutter.
We spent our summer holiday with friends visiting us from the US in Riederalp in the Swiss Alps. We have visited now 3 summers in a row and Riederalp / Bettmeralp are one of our favorite places to spend time. Quieter and less touristy than Zermatt - but depending on where you wander the views, hiking and landscape are just as incredible. We get to the local, nearby mountains nearly every week - but it is always special to come here.
Some BW work from our visit. These were all taken with the Sony a7IV and my older Sigma 70-200 2.8 S on the MC11 adapter. Some manual focus, some auto. All processed in Lr.
Last thermal of the day - I was surprised by these two pilots flying by so late in the day. They started climbing, and then flew on further - I watched them on my live tracking app (I also paraglide) and they landed in Visp, far down the valley: Last Thermal of the Day by Mike, on Flickr
recently bought a used A7RIV and just had it converted to infrared (830nm), took a few shots when I was in Washington DC yesterday. I have an IR A7III but I want a higher resolution one.
