Two views of a Colorado river bend. It took 10 miles of off-road driving (avg speed 5 mph) and a 1.5 mile hike to get to this spot. This meant getting up at 3 am and just making it to sunrise.

Sunrise this morning, no hiking involved here, just a few minutes drive from my house. I know the Voigtlander's sunstar isn't everyone's cup of tea but I like them.

Thank you Bob, that's quite an effort to get these sublime images, but well worth the effort.
To me no surprise the fairly quick change of light in late afternoon or early evening.
That happens a lot where I live in the mountains of Northern New Mexico.
All it takes is a little break in the cloud cover for the sunlight to come through for a brief moment.
But WOW what a spectacular rainbow.
Thanks again.

These images were taken high above Lee's Ferry looking down river at the beginning of the Grand Canyon. Journey to this spot requires high clearance 4x4 vehicles so the journey was half the fun. We enjoyed this view without anyone else around making the scene all the more majestic.
Notice in the second image, which is a zoom from the first, the bridge in the image center. It gives a sense of scale.

Just received my new A7RV yesterday and took it out for a spin at sunrise at the same sunflower farm this morning, which by now should look very familiar

So - can I post these here? Taken with the Nikon Z8 and the Sony 50mm f/1.2 GM (So, FE mount lens, just adapted to Nikon). It's been a while, everyone....
