After all the great group photos I took, why, oh why, when we come to a nice shot of my wife and I do we have the injustice of such a goofy shot? Ha-ha!
It's hard to find good timing among family! (Me, probably lecturing on how to take the shot!)

And these are from two days ago, first time ever for me to see a hummingbird nest. I would have never been able to spot such a tiny green nest by myself. It's the size of a walnut.

Was this taken at Brookside Gardens? There were about a dozen photographers there this morning with big lenses aimed at a tree. One of them told me they were photographing a hummingbird nest.

Thank you Will! Yes, from Brookside Garden. I would have never been able to find the nest myself, it took me 5 minutes to locate it even after people pointed it to me. It's so small and well camouflaged. It was very muggy so I stayed for only 25 minutes.

Terrific shots, Bob! I will be shooting fireworks in DC today, will be sitting in hot and muggy weather for 7 hours to claim a good spot. Yesterday when I was getting my camera ready for the shoot it took me quite some time to find out where the BULB mode is, I found it through Youtube eventually

I skipped Bulb mode on this shoot and used a well timed 4 second shutter speed. Good luck and look forward to seeing your results!
