Can a A7 owner, whom has some E lenses, please clarify what happens when you use an E lens on your 7 body. I understand it automatically goes into a crop mode with much less MP, is that correct ? Some where someone mentioned being able to turn that function off, if so, can an E lens be used with the crop off ? Iam thinking of a A7 body purchase and wondering about using some of my Nex7 and A6000 lenses.

Thanks I really love that area. Like I said before I went to WWU for 6 years and never visited Baker.
I need to go check out Ptarmigan Ridge
We'll be doing a quick overnight at Lake Anne (NE of Baker, just West of Shuksan) and we usually get to Schrieber meadows/Railroad Grade (South side of Baker) once a year or so - now that's a fantastic place for pictures.

Yes, you have the choice of 'auto', 'on', or 'off', in the settings. It allows you to turn on the crop to treat the FF lenses as longer effective FL (with reduced resolution) with the cropped image showing in the viewfinder.
As suggested, it also allows you to turn off the crop and show the FF image that crop lenses produce. This image can be cropped appropriately in PP.
I wish it would allow you to specify a crop ratio...my Sony 16/2.8 makes a passable 16mp 1:1 square image.

robbie: Great shot! Ah, what you can make with this dam 24/70...
I dont really get the hate of the 24-70, it seems a great lens to me. Almost no C/A, a good size, well built. It does have a lot of distortion but that is normal for a mirrorless lens as you dont see it in the EVF and it can be corrected in post.
Mike...the second image with reflection is awesome!
Bob...fantastic image, too!!
At the airport heading back home But after two weeks in Hawaii, almost ready to for home. I know my boys are.

A very special place of grace and peace. The origin of this cemetery in my native town, Worms, is in the year 1076.
It was not disgraced and destroyed by the Nazis.

A few shots from Alberobello, Italy, which are characterized by its "trulli" (plural for "trullo), a typical house with conical-shaped roof of that region. The complex now houses restaurant, shoppes or converted to lodging places.
