As a mater of fact, this was taken from the beach in Stone Harbor, NJ this morning. I went there to take pictures of the shore birds at sunrise but there just wasn't enough light due to the smoke, but at least I got this shot.
There bird pictures were taken a few hours later at a different location in NJ.
This is the sun about 30 minutes after sunrise time this morning. The orange color is caused by the smoke from the wildfires in Canada. It's been like this on and off for about two weeks now, just hazy sky even in cloudless days.

Very nice! Copenhagen is absolutely a city for wide angle, I almost exclusively ran around with the 17-40.
Looks like you guys had fantastic weather too! Such a pretty but pricey city. Brings back memories

Are you sur you do not live in an aviary? Amazing how much species you have concentrated in a single place.

I see what you mean. This is a huge rookery about 150 miles from where I live, 100% natural and wild, hundreds of different types of herons and ibises. The best part is it's 50 feet from an elevated parking lot, mostly eye level shots. It does feel like cheating. Most of the nests are deep inside the trees though. I go there a few times a year. Here are some more from yesterday.
Thank you very much! I did find the cactus, took me more than a few seconds to spot it. I have enjoyed your images from the southwest, a treat to view for sure. I have been to the SW only once, years ago. Need to go back some day.
