We have a beautiful little hummingbird who has nested in our lemon tree. She likes to sit on a particular little branch to survey her dominion. A couple of days ago, I had my 50mm lens on the camera when I saw her sitting there. I snapped a picture and then ran inside and put on the 200-600.
The first image is with the 50mm and she's so tiny in the middle of the frame. Then she comes into sharp relief with the big lens. Such beautiful creatures. I hope I can get images of her young at a later time.
Looking out past my backyard, across the retention ponds, across the farmers cornfield at homes, Post Office and Trees in Autumn Color. Heavy Equipment has been run through the retention ponds which can be seen and the damage can be seen and the Cattails have been removed again.

Looking out my Kitchen sliding door, across my backyard, retention ponds, farmers corn field at the trees in autumn color homes and Post Office.
Went to my favorite place this morning to try my luck for the last sunrise of the year of tiger. The clouds were so thick that I thought I would not see colors, I was almost ready to pack up and leave, then I saw the clouds at the horizon starting to turn red, 3 or 4 minutes later it looked like this.
