Along Jordan Creek, near the Pedestrian Bridge and Ford, Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA.
I don't go looking for wildlife to photograph -- I almost never have even a mild telephoto lens with me "in the wild".
But while strolling along Rialto Beach on the way to the famous sea stacks, we were surprised by an otter who rushed out out of the surf carrying a good size fish in its mouth. Seeing us, he abruptly turned back around and went back under the water, only to resurface and find a perch on the rock outcropping to finish its breakfast.
I'm still committed to not carrying a super-telephoto lens in wet or slippery conditions -- which is almost always the rule here in the U.S. Pacific Northwest!
Shots are cropped to approximately 200mm field of view.

Nobody knows the exact age of the building. The foundation and some parts of the building were probably erected before 1320. In the first half of the 16th century, the building was rebuilt into a Renaissance-style chateau. The building and its occupants have had to endure a number of strokes of fate over the centuries. These included the plague and the Thirty Years' War.
