Two different incidents, two different days and two different outcomes. Not sure about the subjects whether they were the same or not.
In the first image, a female hooded merganser just caught a crayfish. While trying to subdue the prey, a male merganser came from underneath and stole the prey from her. He was so fast and her reaction was too slow to do anything.
In the second image, a similar situation but the female was fast to react and she fought with all her might. A lot actions took place underwater after that though but she emerged as the winner here while the thief ended up holding the short end.
