Helena, interesting to see frost in June. Is that unusual even for Norway? We were on the South Island in New Zealand in July many years ago and it snowed! We knew we were in the southern hemisphere but still kind of strange feeling.
Thank you, Steve! It was my first time to see night airshow, there are very few of them. It wasn't that hard to shoot but I wish I had a 400mm F2.8 for these instead of the 600MM f4. It was very very dark. Happy 4th to you as well. Big airshow at Andrews in Sept, very very robust lineup. If you don't mind the driving you should see it. I drove 1200 miles (round trip) to Middle Creek to see the show. I don't usually go that far just for airshows.

Some shots of the air force F-35A demo and the navy F-35C demo at the warmup on Friday afternoon right after the storm, very high humidity, so the vapes were crazy when the jets were flying fast enough (approaching the speed of sound).
I saw the horrific jet truck accident on the runway on Saturday through the camera and captured 5 shots immediately before the trouble started and 48 shots after it started. I emailed the event organizer to offer those pictures if they think the pictures can be helpful for the investigation. They haven't replied. While there are many pictures and videos out there, I am fairly confident that very few cameras there on that day could capture that many frames at 50MP each in 2 seconds. They cancelled the rest of the show on Sat so I didn't get to see the military demos. I drove 600 miles home after they announced the cancellation.
I won't bombard you folks with airshow pictures until the show in Atlantic City in mid Aug.

Thank you very much Joshua! It means a lot. Yes, I drove 600 miles one way to see that airshow, only to witness the tragic event on Saturday. At least I got some shots on Friday's warmup and evening shows. The drive is nothing compared to your trip to the east coast for the bald eagles or your trips to S. America for the exotic birds! Huntington, Ca will have a very nice airshow on Sept 30-Oct 2 with excellent lineup, and you don't need to drive 600 miles to see it. https://pacificairshowusa.com/

Took some pix of hummingbirds in my yard the last two days. Finally got them feeding on the salvia instead of the bee balms. They are truly amazing little creatures.
From U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. From the hotel window the night before picking up our daughter from Space Camp in a VERY dark hotel room to avoid glare. A7R4 & 28-60.
This thread is not helping my GAS in any way; the 200-600 is getting more and more interesting, especially after seeing the airshow and humming bird photos...
For now, my GAS is quenched with my Sigma 40/1.4, which certainly eliminates any restrictions posed by the gear itself.

Looking at our blooming White Dogwood white Bracts and flowers in the center of each of the 4 Bracts.
Cropped slightly from both sides and bottom, Tripod mounted A1 camera and Voigtlander 110mm f2.5 Macro Apo-Lanthar FE mount; silent shutter. Leofoto MP-180S Focusing Rail used to position the camera on the tripod with 11" Variable Friction Arm attached to the rail to mount, postion, and aim the Ulanzi VL-49 RGB LED light to supplement the lighting (set to 5500 degrees K at 100%).
ISO 400, f11, 1/50 Second (in some wind).
Exposure Corrected +0.26 Stops.
