Joshua - I love this image. And it appears that you used the Tamron 28-200. I just received my copy of the lens after reading multiple good reviews of it. I'll use it both as a travel lens and to document professional habitat work that I do. What's your general take on it?

Hi Steve, I appreciate your kind words. It is more than just a decent landscape lens, meaning if stopped down about 2-stop or so, it performs really well. I bought it last year and used it more for casual, family shots until November when I took it to Conowingo Dam together with the two big guns, G 200-600mm and GM 600mm. The Tammy was, of course, used for landscape photography. Actually, I got quite a few great images using that lens on that trip. So, when I went to Ecuador last month, I took the exact same 3 lenses and again, I am pleased with the IQ that lens delivers for landscape.
Frankly, if I am going to a strictly landscape trip, like to Death Valley next month, I probably wouldn't take it with me.
Taken on yesterday's walkabout at Port Isaac...bizarrely at the same time less than a 100 metres away, was Martin Clunes and his film crew shooting this year's Xmas TV episode of "Doc Martin"
