Looking at a Snowy Egret in Breeding Plumage standing on its left leg with the right leg raised (and the right foot partially hidden) just after scratching itself around its eye. The feathers of the head are all askew.
Cropped, tripod mounted 200-600mm G set to 600mm and Sony A7rIII camera; silent shutter.
ISO 200, f6.3, 1/2500 second.
Exposure Corrected +0.35 Stops.

For my likely, this is the best child photo I have done in 2021.
It was not a photoshoot (obviously), colours are not good - but the shallow DOF with both her eyes and subject in focus... so tender)))
