I had hoped to find more Autumn Color yesterday and went to the Trexler Nature Preserve, a Lehigh County Park about 10 miles from my home. Like Tim Devine who lives not too far from me, I found that there really wasn't all that much color change yet as it has been too mild. I am not sure how our Autumn Color will be this year. And surprising, Douglas L that lives further south from us in MD has been posting some strong color change. In any case, there were some Gold colored trees around Jordan Creek at the bottom

Hi Rich, the recent foliage pictures I posted were taken in northern West Virginia. Even though that part of WV is on about the same latitude as where I live in Maryland, parts of it are at higher elevation so their leaves change at least two weeks earlier than where I am in Maryland. It seems the "paces" of leave changes among different trees in the same area are quite different this year. Some trees are losing leaves already while some haven't even started. Where I live it's still very green.

@k-h.a.w

Stop with those nice and lovely 30 fps shots, it makes me feel like my R3 is from the Stone Age.

Thanks Immortal. Oh?

Well, your R3 is from the “camera” Stone Age, I am afraid.
I will have an A7R, A7R II, and an A9.
I used to rely on the A9 for birding and loved it.
A few days ago I used the A9 again and was surprised how slow it really was.
No, I don’t mean 20 or 15 FPS, but the relatively slow User Interface.
Sony has indeed come a long way with its A1.

BTW where it’s appropriate, non-action shots, I occasionally use my other Sony cameras.
So besides theA7R, A7R II, and A9, I also use my NEX-5N, NEX-7, and a6300.
Nothing wrong with them. They still can produce nice images.

I'm joking it's all good. Im very happy with my A7R III (had A7R before), i don't even think about upgrading to A7R IV. Probably gonna go for A7R V when it comes to market thou but like i always say it's not the gear that holds me back when it comes to taking great pictures. So for now i focus on learning, composition etc...

Thanks Immortal. Exactly, I feel the same way, quote:

"it's not the gear that holds me back when it comes to taking great pictures"

Depending on what I shoot, I don't mind though getting help from camera technology.
Sometimes, the latter is enabling me to get shots I otherwise couldn't hope to get at all.

Now two A9 shots, I took just a few days ago.

Serendipity Spookiness
Admission: This is not an FE image, but I post for two reasons:

It is a Sigma Merrill Dp2 panorama, and I am blown away with the IQ of this little camera, especially when comparing to my A7rIV. I know all the limitations of the Foveon sensor, but it I can't get over the presence this thing brings. The full-size image can be seen at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mikeael_everett/51593746431/in/dateposted-ff/

The panorama created an interesting effect, what it did to the Windows sort of make the Halloween spirit.

After sunrise I framed up this composition of the river bend with the mountains as the backdrop. This was a pretty meadow with tall grass changing color and some pine trees along the edges of the meadow.
