I like this picture very much. Do you know where the name "Swabian creek" comes from?
I live in the south of Germany, in Baden Württemberg, the home of the Swabians.
Was there a particularly large number of emigrants from southern Germany there in the past?

Thank you. Pennsylvania is known for the Pennsylvania Dutch and Pennsylvania Dutch people and foods. Actually that is a misnomer as most of these people were not Dutch but are/were in fact it should be Deutsch as they are of German Origin. According to Wikipedia, the Etymology " "Swabia" derives from the birthplace of many of the area's early settlers. "Swope" is an anglicization of "Schwab" (a person from Swabia).
Swabia Creek by the way is a tributary to The Little Lehigh Creek (River) which is the largest Tributary to the Lehigh River. The Lehigh River is a tributary to the Delaware River.
