Looking for a little love in the real estate market. (Sales and renovations are booming in our small town -- reports of no rentals available, which is incredible if only half-true.)
The latest California transplant to our little Western Washington communities: This is a friend of my wife's who is moving to a little town about 25 mi. away in Raymond, WA. We had just finished dinner with her and her sister and were touring the grounds of the Westport Winery. They had flown up that day, a Saturday, to Portland, OR intending to inspect the house the following day. She entered escrow before flying back Sunday night!
Shot on Labor Day night up at Mohonk Lake and Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, New York. It was a beautiful night with a new moon and clear skies. They have some little wooden houses on the mountainside that are lighted and a blue lighted area which adds some interesting color to the foreground. Even with a new moon, there is plenty of ambient light from the Hotel which lights up the Lake-side nicely with a long exposure.
