Joshua -- I love all three of these images, but I must say how impressed I am with the sharpness of the Batis 40 at f/2.8.

Thank you very much, Jim! Even at f/2, the images I got are sharp. The reason I stopped down a little bit was to get a little bit more depth-of-field of those jumping shots.

I have been enjoying your Batis 18mm images recently. Excellent captures!

Philip: Just curious, did you notice the ongoing military buildup close to the Chinese-Indian border? The PLA and the Indian army apparently have stationed 200,000 troops close to border including in Ladakh.
Chuck: Wonderful waterfall shots. May I ask how you PP'ed those great landscapes?
Ronny: Excellent close-up studies of those beautiful butterflies.

Chris thank you very much. I applied some basic post-processing to the 6 Raw files in LR Classic then moved them into PS and stacked, aligned, and focus-stacked the 6 processed Raw files merging them into a single Tiff file. Then I used some curves, with luminosity masking using the TK8 Panel, and finished up with some selective Dodging and Burning.
Best, Chuck

Thanks Birdie!

And, as always, I love your flowers and birds. So beautifully rendered!

I was pretty happy with my choice to take two primes only, on two bodies. The Batis 18 kind of surprised me how well it did overall, with its great color. A number of shots came out great using slow shutter and accurate AF. The CV 40E worked better than expected for dealing with walking around in the dark with an MF lens -- nice little sun stars on the lights, even at f2.0.

Here are some other shots from the CV 40E. It makes me wonder how the Batis 40 would have worked, seeing Joshua's dancer at near wide open. AF is certainly faster than MF, and sometimes more accurate with swaying body.

Same subject as the earlier post with the Batis 18, this time with CV 40E.

Nice sun stars from the lights!

Chris, sorry for missing your lovely image of the hortensia.

Thank you for your kind compliment on the sushi.
