Looking across a canal and reflection; I believe a swimming Pied Billed Grebe can be seen near the far side of the canal just in front of the reflection.

The extra orange sunrise this morning, courtesy of the smoke that came all the way from the forest fires on the west coast. It's been like this for a week.

Got a new toy, the Venus Laowa 25mm 2.5X to 5X Ultra Macro. This is my first attempt at 2.5X. The field of view is so incredibly tiny . I used the lume cube LED panel mounted on hotshot to light this shot. Panel was diffused.
I was outside, handheld and unfortunately there a slight breeze , not helpful at 2.5X magnification. I know better, but had to try. I missed several sections, but this is a stack of 6 or 7 shots. Going to take lots of practice and no breeze This is going to be a challenge , but hopefully fun.
Here are a few from our family trip to Colorado last week, using my new Tamron 17-28 on the A7C. I have never owned anything wider than 24, it's pretty interesting.
Saw this very tiny ( 1/4'" / 5or 6 mm ) jumping spider on my wall. He must have been on some flowers I had brought in from the garden. Had to get a few shots as he ran around my floor/carpet before I put him out side to live a nice life.
So second attempt with the new toy. Moving subject running around, hand held.
