A few from the A7R and 135/2 APO ZF.2, one of which was wide open. No fears shooting the Zeiss wide open as you hardly lose any IQ at infinity. It also doesn't mind being pointed directly into the sun as the flare and ghosting characteristics are very very good.
Very nice pics again, Manuel - I see we have very similar tastes both in places to visit and lenses - this 35/2 is another one on my to-get list, although there don't seem to be a lot around. Clearly your A7R is handling low light very well, and the legacy lenses are a no-brainer. I'm just waiting for a loan of a demo camera to try before I commit, though pictures like these that you have put up are a very compelling reason to go ahead anyway!
Lots of really nice images here. I'm using all manual focus lenses with my A7r. I've been in lens testing mode for a couple weeks now I'm still using JPG mode This one from JPG with the old Tamron 52B 90/2.5 macro, wide open at min focus (1:2). Although, I might have had an extension tube attached.

Are you talking about the 35mm f2 with conclave optics or the non-conclave optics?

Yes, I see that there are lots of the older SSC version in 35 f2, but had been put off by the comments about the thorium discolouration and their proneness to flare, leaning more towards one of the nFD versions - are the earlier ones worth considering?

Thanks John for the appreciation.
About A7R at low light, consider most of my pics are taken at 100 ISO with tripod so not a good test for high ISO however in my opinion is more than acceptable... maybe A7 is a little better and for sure A7S in better. After some months of normal use, I think A7 (24Mp) is the best compromise. I'm very satisfied with my A7R but I recognise the shutter vibration issue (with my Nikkor 300mm I've experienced directly) and the greater difficult to take perfect photos freehand (you have to hold the camera very steady due to the higher pixel density).
Here an example taken at 3200 ISO freehand with Canon FDn 35mm f/2

John,
I chose the nFD (or FDn) version because is more cheap and because is not radioactive... the nFD have more plastic but lens quality is... shocking!!!

Is very interesting and after some use I can confirm every single word
