Sony GM 50/1.2 - the best 50mm lens I have had so far.Sharp across the FF frame even wide open,super sharp closed down.No chromatic aberrations to speak of and only a tiny bit of hardly visible pincushion distortion.Smooth bokeh,pleasant skin tones and well saturated colours.Fast,versatile standard for anything from street through landscape,architecture,portraits and close ups.

At Lock Ridge Park (the site of an old Iron Furnace works), Alburtis, PA.
Local birds - an adult burrowing owl on the left and 4 owlets. It seems that the population of owls has improved somewhat at this point and I hope most of them will survive to adulthood.
Thank you Ronny.Last Saturday and Sunday were two difficult days,as I had to test outdoor and for the first time Sony GM 50/1.2,Voigtlander Apo Lanthar 35/2 FE and Zeiss Vario-Tessar 16-35/4 ZA.All that with a little energy and creativity close to zero.
I went out today to do direct comparison shots between Loxia 50 and ZE 50 f1.4. All shots were hand held, so some variation in framing.
ZE was closed down to f2.0, but despite that edge, it showed more halo around bright objects. The ZE also was about 0.5 stop brighter at f2, than the Loxia at f2. ZE also had more barrel distortion, but correctable in LR. Loxia showed less distortion and was almost never corrected.
