It's been a while since I posted anything. Work has been crazy busy but I could not miss taking the annual spring tulips at Elizabeth Park in Hartford, CT.

Guess what? More from Ecuador… This is toucan barbet that I missed completely from the first trip. Thankfully, it showed up this time around and actually twice on two different days .
The messy, unatractive massif of Gurla Mandhata from 50kms away. It's where Tibet, India and Nepal meet in the northwest corner of Nepal. 7695 metres in elevation, but only 2790 metres in 'prominence' - the rise from the high point of the immediate surrounding countryside. This image was taken from 4600 metres in elevation. That's a small bay on (fresh water) Lake Manasarovar in the foreground, thousands of birds, a black necked crane in front. A nomad tends her flock of sheep, goats. It feels like paradise. CY 100/3.5.
