The Mockingbird is one of the most well known birds in the U.S. It is a prodigious singer and mimics the songs of a large number of birds. This Mockingbird was mimicking a Killdeer and Red-tailed Hawk just before the photo was taken. It's also known from the famous novel, "To Kill a Mockingbird" and its namesake movie, starring Gregory Peck.
