An amazing sunrise from my recent trip to Zion. The color in the clouds never fully developed, but the maybe it is better. This way the clouds don't compete with the red rocks, but accent them.
This is actually four frames. Two shot panorama to capture the whole scene, and two exposure brackets to manage the huge dynamic range just as the sun peaked above the mountains behind and to the East. All blended in Adobe Light Room.
Looking at a Snowy Egret in breeding plumage with a portion of the nictitating membrane over the eye being visible.
Cropped somewhat tightly to better show the nictitating membrane over the eye and flipped, tripod mounted 200-600mm G zoom lens set to 600mm and A7rIII; silent shutter.
ISO 100, f6.3, 1/1600 second.
