Thanks, this is my second one, I had one years ago in F mount with the 1.5x Match-Mate converter, and re-acquired this one last year for $25CAD in C/Y mount.
And yes, it's a total sleeper. The legendary Nikon Series E 75-150/3.5 is actually a derivation of this lens, and IMHO is actually mildly inferior (the Vivitar doesn't suffer from zoom slop)

This Anna’s hummingbird with a very colorful gorget was taken 2 years ago in the winter in...., no, not in Costa Rica but in Southern California in La Jolla Cove near San Diego to be exact.
