Dave, I really like this picture. Can you tell me how much post was done to get this look? Was the rain added in post as I don't' see any drops/disturbance in the water?
I have a question. I'm a little baffled as to how the sizing of images look on this site. Just as a comparison, there is an image of a single stem flower by ShootPDX. If I view this image in Photoshop, it shows 4215 px on the wide side and a print width of 17.5 at 240 resolution. The Robin I just uploaded is supposed to be 2000 px on the wide side, 13.3 print width at 150 resolution. Yet, it shows on this site on both my computer and my ipad as much larger than the flower image. That's just one example, there are many more. What am I missing here?

Mike, your 2000pix on the wide side looks like that on my screen. I am not sure where you got the 4215pix from for the image Shoot PDX posted but I assume that it was resized to approximately 1200pix on the long end to me. I normally post my images at 1500pix on the long end, unless it is a pano, for example. The same with the image down here...

Okay, lets see how this image below turns out. It is 1440 pix on the wide side and I would assume print size should have nothing to do with how this shows here. And I would expect with the wide side of 1440 it should be slightly less width than the one you just posted. Regardless, I appreciate your response and help.

You are welcome! That's a wonderful image, Mike and yes, the size is just about perfect!
Young Ghost Mantis, posing after eating his fill of yummy fruit flies. As the second photo shows, he’s a slob when it comes to eating, but he’s a very good boy nonetheless.
