At Heart Lake, the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid, NY.
A couple more pictures of the inimitable Ghost Mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa); it’s a male L4 (4th instar). Shot with a Sony A7RIV and the Sony 90mm macro, handheld at f5.0 and an iso of 1250.
Overcast skies in the desert today. The second image is a fallen desert tree that turned black. The texture was very interesting. A7r3 with Tamron 17-28/2.8.
We just had an ice storm here. Hard to get out, but there were some opportunities right outside my door.
All with the A7riv and the Sigma 105 DG DN macro.
