This is the fantastic, and personable Ghost Mantis (Phyllocrania paradoxa), recently molted into a 5th instar (L5). As you can see, its camouflage is that of a dead/dessicated leaf.
Shot with my A7RIV, Sony 90mm macro, 1250 iso, handheld @1/60, can’t remember which aperture I used, but I think it was somewhere around f2.8-3.5
I have a preorder for the new Sony 35mm GM, but looking through my photos with the Zeiss ZM 35mm f/1.4, which I'd need to sell for it, I'm still hesitating.
I did not, on the other hand, get rid of my Canon FD85L, when I picked up the new Sigma 85mm Art. That's not going anywhere.
