The 55 is not at its excellent best wide open, in my opinion. Here is one at f4. The extra 1-2 stops often calms down the sometimes ragged bokeh. The second one here did not do well with the nissin bokeh effect, but the focal plane performance never disappoints.
Some more eagle shots from today. Often they were just too far away, even for the A7RIV+200-600+1.4 TC, when they were close enough I often left them outside of the frame or clipped their wings. I need better eye/hand coordination.

Thank you, Roberta! Well, the eagles are a lot easier to shoot than your "little guy".
I think the eagle in the last picture dropped the fish. Too many fish catching activities today to remember. The most active day of my recent 5 or 6 trips.
Same place as last time, the marina down the street. Many Alaskan fishing vessels moor here for the winter, as this is fresh water (just inside of the locks). I guess I'm not posting many pictures of said vessels at this point, oh well All with the A7R2 and CV 50/2 APO-Lanthar.
Finally some nice weather so that I could try shooting against the sun with CV75 and it didn't disappoint.
The light is incredibly warm in winter. All of these are taken mid-day.

Along Black Point Wildlife Drive, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, FL.
Some shots with Sony A7RM2, Mirex P645 Tilt-Shift-Adapter and Pentax 645 lenses (like them a lot).
Most of them are flat field stitches with the camera rear-shifted to the left and to the right (+-15mm) while the lens is fixed in its position. The resulting images are huge, equivalent to a sensor size of 54mm x 36mm (3 shots with camera in portrait orientation) or 66mm x 24mm (2 shots with the camera in landscape orientation) and give lots of room for cropping if needed.
It's also very nice to have the option to apply tilt.
