Spent 36 hours hiking 20 miles in Rocky Mountain National Park this weekend...was my first time ever hiking in snow as well as first time shooting in a snowstorm! I only took the R4 and 24-105G and they performed outstandingly in the elements, even unprotected on my Peak Capture clip while hiking. All of these were run and gun as we hiked.
As Barry says Jim, great shots of autumn colours. I have a shot of some beech leaves in mind on the hills behind us, just need to wait for it to stop raining quite so hard.
Cape Cornwall didn't look that good last time I was there Barry!

At Heart Lake (Lake owned by the Adirondack Mountain Club), in the Adirondack Mountains, Lake Placid, NY.
It is not easy for a non-native speaker to hover above american small talk,where big-once-upon-the-time-english-words have now small,diminutive meaning.
To me the word "thank you" and deliberately separated "very much" means a lot more than their casual meaning.To my XVII century ancestors it would have ment that they are obliged to help you in any case,at any price.
I have travelled extensively around the world in the past.The world is utterly beautifull,inspiring and inscrutable.The utter beauty and wisdom given to traveller.At least to the one who is able to understand.
Yet the dying out old,beautifull Europe is my mental and intellectual mother.The old,beloved mother I have deliberately chosen for good.
Sony GM 100-400/4.5-5.6 - looking at your colourfull and misty pictures I think too often of having that lens,even though I'm a prime man and the Sigma 100-400/5-6.3 serve me well for similar purposes.
