On Saturday we visited some old copper mines. The weather was supposed to be sunny, but we got fog instead. I don't mind though since it gave an interesting mood together with the snow and frost.

Tried my hand at photographing some hummingbirds, we have 3 local birds that stop by daily.
Anna's Hummingbird, I assume. It's amazing how the color of their feathers completely changes depending on the angle of light, one perspective they're mostly gray but form another they are lush shades of red, purple and green. It's hard to even notice their beautiful colors when they are just zipping around.
Picked up my A7C today and took a fully charged battery from RIII with me so I could play on the way home - it was drizzling - and I was trying hard to keep it dry under a 'Peaky Blinders' hat - the hat proved more of a problem than the viewfinder which I didnt find too bad at all. These are SOOC jpgs with kit lens - no raw support yet and I had no time to do any adjustments so 'quick and dirty'

Congrats, John! The more I think about it the more I like the idea of carrying an almost pocketable camera while traveling but no travel plan this year, I am afraid. Probably, more serious travels will start taking place in the 3rd quarter of next year . So, I will wait a little longer to get one. Did you get the black one or the silver one? I like the retro look of the silver one... it reminds me of the Leica-M camera .

Thank you Joshua, initially I was going to wait - but then life is pretty curtailed at the moment and I thought sod it!
I am parting with RX1RII and 6500 as they barely got out so it is just a better use for the money for me. The kit lens is not a GM killer of course - but its not too shabby either and bought with the body its a steal IMO.
Totally agree with you - I got the silver - and already had my Contax G45 on it this morning just to see how it looks.
